Exeter 1000kg German Bomb Detonated
We were contacted by this client and asked for our advice on an item that they had found. Our Nato trained EOD qualified engineers quickly identified the item as a 1000Kg German airdropped weapon and advised that the item would pose a risk to all site opperatives and public within the local areas. The client followed our instructions and advice and the site was evacuated and the emergancy services were contacted.
The emergancy services and several military organisations were involved with the works from this point on and a controlled explosion was completed to render the item safe.
EOD contracts are now completing an EOD overwatch on the site and advising the client on the best way foward. All on site personel have attended EOD breifings supplied by EOD Contracts and are aware of what to do if another susicious item is discovered
